Ms. Puneet Gupta is an accomplished academic, researcher, and visual storyteller with over 19 years of extensive experience in photography, journalism, and education. Her expertise spans photojournalism, architectural photography, ethnographic research, and visual storytelling, making her a multifaceted professional in the field.

Her academic contributions include impactful research, such as a widely acclaimed article on manual sand miners in Bihar, published in prestigious Q1 Scopus-indexed journals. She has also garnered accolades for her scholarly work, including the Best Paper Award in Journalism Praxis at ICMAC 2023. As an educator, she specialises in teaching diverse genres of photography, including Photojournalism, Street, Documentary, Sports, and Architectural Photography. She has mentored students on transformative projects with esteemed organisations like Incredible India and Andhra Pradesh Tourism and has curated notable exhibitions such as Nature in Focus.

In her photojournalistic career, Puneet has contributed to leading publications such as Hindustan Times, The Indian Express, and DNA. Her coverage of significant events, including the Bharat Bandh, the 2011 Mumbai bomb blast, and the city's metro development, highlights her ability to document socio-political narratives with precision and depth. Her portfolio also extends to architectural photography and visual storytelling, earning her recognition with the National Photo Award, Mumbai Press Club Calendar Awards, and an international scholarship to the Angkor Photography Workshop.

Currently pursuing a PhD focused on visual narratives of COVID-19 in India, Puneet continues to be a passionate advocate for visual communication. Through her photography, writing, and mentoring, she inspires future creatives and remains committed to capturing photographs with purpose, precision, and impact.
