PROFILE

He is a Senior Staff Photographer with Agence France-Presse (AFP) in the Asia-Pacific region, based in Mumbai. With a career spanning close to three decades, he has covered numerous international events, including the Olympics, ICC Cricket World Cups, and natural disasters.

He has worked with various newspapers and agencies, joining AFP in 2000. Indranil's work has taken him to various parts of the world, covering events such as the Rohingya refugee crisis, Asian Games, and APEC Summit. He lives in Mumbai with his wife and son.

Indranil's philosophy is simple: "I am not a great photojournalist, but I aim to do my best on each shot and each assignment."
