PROFILE

Atreyee is a visual artist with international recognition, leveraging her expertise in crafting impactful images. With a Bachelors in Multimedia from St. Xavier's, Kolkata (Calcutta University) and a Masters in Visual Communication from HMKW, Applied Science University, Berlin, she has developed a unique visual storytelling approach. Her career journey began as a photographer at a news agency, later expanding into the broader field of visual communication. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Film and Media from SIMC. She teaches visual aesthetics, lensing, literacy, and analysis, empowering students to create compelling images as photographers. Her research focuses on interpreting images, uncovering the narratives and meanings they hold.
